Bringing your baby home

I know how powerful and overwhelming those first days and weeks can feel.

When I offer remote support as your doula, my focus is to help you build your confidence as a parent, help you develop a strong bond with your baby, and support you as you get to know your little human in your own unique way.

Online doula support for new parents

Helping you develop confidence as a new parent.
Through video calls, emails, phone calls and messaging.

Developing bonds and building connections

I believe that bonding happens in all sorts of ordinary and special moments from skin-to-skin cuddles, a quiet feed, or even a midnight nappy change. I’m here to offer new ideas to help you connect with your baby and find confidence in your own skills.

Understanding and responding to your baby

If you’re ever unsure about what your baby is trying to tell you, I’m here to guide you without judgment. I offer practical suggestions for recognising your baby’s cues and building a responsive relationship, so you can meet their needs with kindness and certainty. Over time, I love seeing parents grow in confidence and trust in their own ability to understand and care for their babies.

Building confidence as a parent

You can share your experiences, celebrate your successes, and ask every question (no matter how small). My role is to reflect on your growing abilities and help you recognise that you really are the best person to care for your baby. My guidance is always evidence-based and tailored to you; so you can trust your instincts and parent in a way that feels right for your family.

A safe space to talk

My goal is always to reassure you, share up-to-date, trustworthy information, and help you feel supported as you make choices that work best for your family. I offer a safe judgement free space where you can ask questions and explore challenges.

Creating a support network

I bring a wide range of skills and knowledge to every family I support, gained through years of supporting families in all their forms, including those created through surrogacy. I understand the importance of boundaries, and recognise that sometimes you may need more specialist or hands-on support. When that’s the case, I’ll help you find the right people locally, so you always feel fully supported and confident on your journey.

Frequently asked questions

Feel free to get in touch with any questions you might have that are not answered below.

When you become a parent through surrogacy or adoption you have already experienced many challenges before bringing your baby home. I know that the journey doesn’t stop when you walk through the door with your baby.

I can support you to build your relationship with your baby, strengthen bonds and understand their behaviours. We can work together to identify strategies to support sleep and feeding, supporting your baby’s development and your wellbeing as a parent.

You’re never alone on this journey, compassionate, practical evidence based support is always available when you need it.

It can be tough in the early days to understand why your baby might be crying or how to support their development. Sometimes it can feel as though a baby never really settles or sleeps without lots of support. I can help you to feel more confident when interpreting your baby’s cues and behaviours, build knowledge about their development and what that means for parenting.
